The British Council Realise Your Dream Awards celebrate excellence in the creative industries, offering talented Australians the chance to further their careers in the UK. Five Awards were offered to candidates in the early stages of their careers. They will will be flown to the UK and given $5K cash to assist with expenses. Most importantly, the British Council taps its network of the UK’s finest creatives to help craft a tailored professional development programme for each of the winners.
Awards are given to those who show innovation and leadership in their field, can demonstrate their creative potential and have a clear vision of how they’ll benefit from connecting with the UK’s best. Realise Your Dream is open to emerging practitioners working or studying in creative industries including visual arts, design, architecture, music, digital media and performing arts.
NT Creative Arts worked with British Council Australia on RYD 2013, advising on the annual programme, supporting recruitment and working with the participants to develop their UK contacts and itineraries.
