Starting and Leading your own Creative Business
Lecturers: Ulrike Müller & Nicola Turner
27th-31st July 2015
Summer University, UdK Berlin
Working with Nesta’s Creative Enterprise Toolkit and using learning from the Cultural Leadership Programme this practical course enables participants to develop entrepreneurial and creative leadership skills through lectures, group discussions, international case studies, exercises and individual work as well as experiential group activities and informal peer support.
Sessions cover key business issues such as business drivers, intellectual property, blueprint and relationship modelling, contracts, marketing and key financial and leadership concepts, which are then put into practice in group activities and individual exercises. A high level of group interactivity creates opportunities to share perspectives and experiences, to support business propositions and creative leadership.
